  • Use caution and gloves when handling the hot stone. 
     

Baking on a pizza stone allows for even heat throughout. The special ceramic stone absorbs moisture, resulting in a crispy crust and moist top.  

Simply place the stone in your oven and allow it to preheat together.

 Once the oven has reached the ideal temperature, leave the stone in for another 30 minutes until it’s heated. Then place room temperature or warm food onto it. This burst of heat allows the dough to puff into a perfect crust.

Allow food has finished baking, allow the stone to cool before handling. Then you can wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Store it or leave in oven until next use.

*note:

  • Placing cold or frozen food on a pizza stone, or resting a hot pizza stone on a cold counter,  will cause it to crack
  • Do not oil the stone or wash with soap.
  • Pizza stones are not intended to get very wet. If it does get submerged in water, ensure that it is fully dry before your next use.
